Episode: Fishing Expedition
Location: Theo's Quarters
Timeline: MD-15, 2100

Vex had always loved seeing new places, meeting new people, and experiencing new things. Despite Ryan's insistence that they not partake in some of the more local customes. Truthfully, he wasn't sure what the big deal was... it was just naked bodies. Still, he supposed there were some species that would always find that too be taboo. Hopefully, Theo wasn't one of those guys.

He had changed into something more casual and headed over to Theo's quarters. He wasn't sure what they were going to do tonight but he was eager to spend sometime with his boyfriend.

Theo was waiting for him outside his room, admiring the view from the hotel they had been put up in. The city was certainly impressive, although now that he was on the planet he really wasn't sure how he felt about being surrounded by so much water. There was something vaguely unnatural about there being so much of it just sitting around like that.

Spotting Vex approaching, he raised a hand and waved. "Ah, my own personal security detail. Ready to keep me safe while I sight-see?"

"Buenas noches mi amor," Vex smiled.

Theo was taken aback for a moment, then started to smile too. "Good evening to you too. You're going to have to teach me some of your language, you know."

"Mine's a harder one to grasp," Vex said, grabbing Theo around the waist and pulling him in for a kiss. After they came apart, Vex had a grin plastered on his face. "Plus, I really like the way that mi amor sounds. So much more sexy than saying 'my love' in Unkari."

"Well, Spanish is the language of lovers," Theo told him. "Or maybe that's French? It's a romance language either way."

"Why do you think that I enjoy it so much," Vex smiled. "So, what do you want to do today? I checked out one of those dance establishments that Ryan was talking about... apparently they don't require off worlders to be all... you know naked."

"Well, according to the visitor's guide, there's  a museum of natural history just down the street," Theo said, only partly joking.

"Museums can be fun," Vex nodded. "I don't care where we go... siempre y cuando estoy contigo."

"Are you sure?" Theo said, blushing a little. "I understand if it's not your thing."

"No, really as long as we go together I don't care where we go," Vex continued. "Museum, dance club, resturant... anything."

"Right, then," Theo said. He pulled a small PADD from his pants pocket. "There actually is an underwater restaurant there. Not, like, flooded-underwater but in a dome where you can see all the fish and whatnot."

"That sounds good," Vex said, as he grabbed Theo's hand. "Lead on."

"This way," Theo said. "It should be in walking distance."

"Did you talk to Avery?" Vex asked, as they started walking down the street hand in hand. "He seems pretty excited about the updates to the ships LCARS system."

"All I heard was ten minutes of technical nonsense. I'm pretty sure this is one of those things that's completely invisible to everyone outside of the computing team."

Vex snickered. "You are probably right about that but he seemed pretty excited about it. He also kept warning me not to break your heart. I said something about what if you break my heart. And then he laughed, although I don't know why."

"Culturally expected behavior," Theo said. "He'll probably threaten to break your legs next. Don't worry, I'm pretty sure you can beat him up."

"I am too... although he's getting better at the whole hand to hand thing," Vex responded. "But he has some sort weird fighting style that defies categeroization. And I don't mean that failing about thing he does, I mean weird in a combination of martial arts that I've ever seen."

"It's the gravity," Theo said. "Makes your reflexes weird. You should see me sometime."

Vex grabbed Theo by the waist and pulled him in for a kiss. "I think it's safe to say that I'll take any chance I can get to see how your body moves."

"I don't think that came out quite how you intended."

Vex shrugged. "We say what we mean in my culture, open and brutal honesty is a cornerstone of Unkari society. I'm attracted to you Theo, so I'm going to say it, every chance that I get. Because sometimes it makes you blush like you are now and that's insanely adorable."

"Handsome," Theo groaned. "The word you wanted was 'handsome'."

Vex laughed. "Handsome? Adorable? Does it really matter?"

"It does to my dignity!" Theo said, throwing up his hands in mock disgust.

"Fine, you look handsome and sexy... is that a better choice of words?"

"Much better," Theo said. "You look..."

"Sauve? Inrresistable?"

"Well, I was about to say 'like you belong in a museum', except then I realised it was really cheesy and could be taken the wrong way."

"Yes, yes it could," Vex answered. They stopped in front of the museum. "This appears to be our stop."

"All right," Theo said, rubbing his hands. "Do you want to start with the exhibit about the giant whales that shoot lightning from their heads, or the one about the mega-hurricanes?"

"Mega-hurricanes sounds sufficiently terrifying," Vex responded. "Lead on."
