Personal History
Personal History | Theodore Vega - he prefers to go by Theo - was raised in Tycho City on Luna. He was raised by his mother, a nurse, and rarely saw his father, a command officer in Starfleet who spent most of Theo's life beyond the borders of the Federation. He had a rambunctious childhood, often getting in trouble with his friends, frequently as the brawn to their brains. He had it set in his mind from an early age that he would join Starfleet like his father, and even though some people suggested that he might be better off in a different career, he stuck with that dream. |
|
Education | Theo attended Starfleet Academy and graduated with a degree in xenobiology. |
Career History
Starfleet Academy | After graduating secondary school, Theo joined Starfleet, narrowly managing to get past the entrance exams for the Academy. His main academic focus was on xenobiology, and he did especially well on the experimental portions, although the advanced math and engineering courses often beat him around the head. He also excelled at more hand-on skills like piloting, tactics, and survey field work, as well as languages and management. He was captain of the academy soccer team during his senior year. He graduated in the lowest quartile of his class, dragged down by his arch-enemies quantum mechanics and temporal physics, but was satisfied regardless. In his view, someone had to be statistically in that range, and even the last-ranked person was still a graduate of Starfleet Academy. |
|
USS Highlander | The Highlander is Theo's first permanent posting outside of the Academy. He is particularly excited with the assignment because on ship with such a small crew he will have a lot more responsibility for the xenobiology division than he would on a huge exploration cruiser. |
