It's now been six months since we set out on our first mission since the Highlander's first mission with her new crew. Thankfully, our tasks have been rather more straightforward than that first one, and we've not ran into any more mad scientists. The crew's taken the opportunity to get to know each other more and get more settled in to the ship; I can tell that we're feeling more like a group now than we were six months ago.

Sadly, the rest of the galaxy doesn't seem to be in as such a stable position as we are. The Klingons and the Gorn are still at odds with each other, and the Klingons still aren't listening to the Federation diplomatic corps trying to get them to calm things down. Admiral Gates has had us and a bunch of other ships reassigned to patrolling the borders we have with them both just in case things get worse than they are.

The Klingon border's been fairly boring so far, if I'm honest, but that's given us plenty of time to do our own thing. I've already started Mac's command training in line with his new position as second officer after Hawke's own promotion.
