Wow, that one got by me

Hey guys

So, I only noticed recently whilst reading a similar news item on Starbase 332's home page, but the Highlander as a sim is actually 5 years old! (5 years 5 months and 2 weeks, to be precise)

We were founded as the USS Endeavour, and began right at the same time as Pegasus Fleet itself did (being one of only two starting sims I believe - the other being the very short-lived USS Hastings). As most of you know, we transitioned from the Endeavour over to the Highlander (which itself is a pre-existing sim name of mine that I resurrected, dating from way back in 2007 I think), but this makes us the longest-standing sim in the fleet.

Cool, huh?

As I said, the Endeavour started off way back in 2009 at the start of the fleet, and was one of the founding sims - our first XO was also the first Fleet XO too (who until recently also played our most recent science officer, Ensign Gregory Mason), and I believe it was into our second mission that Mike (now playing Ciaran McIntyre) joined us a Chief Narayn Ballard - our initial intelligence officer who ended up jumping over to the officer's club to become our first officer). We've seen quite a few different players come through our doors over the years, but it is always nice to see those that were with us near the very beginning coming back to rejoin us in new positions.
