| Personal History | Steline Yavana Chanul was born with impressive bloodlines. She can trace her patriarchal family tree all the way back to Surak, the father of Vulcan knowledge and her matriarch all the way back to the first Empress of Betazed, Opia, Daughter of the First House of Betazed, Holder of the Divine Crown of Dare and Heir of the Seat of Rixx but she possesses no royal title. She was born quite unexpectedly (two months before her due date) on Mount Seleya on Vulcan but was quickly taken to Earth to live. Although this move had caused discord between Harrod and Sigil the subject was never talked about. With this in mind Steline still had to endure scrutiny when it comes to her sudden outbursts of emotion even from birth (certainly stemming from her Betazoid roots). Her father Sigil (who is and certainly the strictest parent even by Starfleet standards) has moulded Steline into a petite and unassuming person. Was that on purpose? No one knows? Sigil, some said, took the 'ultimate sacrifice' and married a Betazed because he thought it high time that Starfleet had a decent telepath. Her mother, Harrod however has also been nurturing Steline’s abilities to her fullest extent but they still seem to be growing. Having two strong telepathic parents was a wonder, some said. Others thought that she should have died. |
