Personal History
Personal History | Surak was born on Vulcan in the year 2285 and was named after the great Vulcan philosopher, scientist, and logician who later came to virtually found the modern day Vulcan civilization, by his Father, Sarek. His parents were both senior members of the Vulcan Council, and his father was a member of Starfleet serving as a civilian attache and liaison to Vulcan. Science Surak was ten, he has had an interest in space, and found is fascinating that an artificial creation could carry someone or something between the stars in a matter of hours, or days. However, Suraks passion was soon suppressed as he began his training with the great Vulcan masters to hold back and suppress his emotions and gain on his natural telepathic ability. When his training was fully complete several years later, Surak chose to remain with monks and Vulcans greatest monestary in order to follow in their footsteps and enhance in telepathic abilities. While he remained at the monastery, he received word of his father death after the vessel was destroyed by a rogue Klingon force. He did not react emotionally to his loss, and for that he was praised by all. He remained of Vulcan, serving for the Vulcan High Command by training to become a pilot and becoming some of the Vulcan Masters' personal pilot and part of their protection detail. He gradually became more well known among the Vulcan High Command, with regards to his service to them and his ever-growing telepathic abilities. And as a result, he was offered a lesser seat in the Vulcan Council, to which he accepted and still holds to the present day. When Surak was 50, he met T'Remberale after Sereks mother, T'Janikrel, and T'Remberale's parents introduced them. With the blessings and wishes of their parents, they soon married, and T'Remberale gave birth to a baby boy who would be named after Surak's father. Surak taught his son as his father did before him, and allowed him to be taught by the Vulcan masters in harboring his telepathy and suppressing his emotion. Many decades had past since Sareks birth; Surak and his family lived peacefully on Vulcan, until Surak believed he should follow in his own fathers footsteps and join Starfleet. As a result, he soon enrolled himself to Starfleet Academy. |
